Facility Dog Program

  • Canines for Change is proud to be one of the few organizations who provide highly trained facility dogs to work in police departments, colleges, 911 agencies, children advocacy centers, and other facilities.
  • Facility dogs are owned by the facility in which they work and are trained to provide services and behavioral tasks that will suit the need of the specific facility. 
  • Facility dogs work with children and adults of all ages with a variety of needs.  They provide staff support, behavior intervention, victim support and community outreach needs.

Service Dogs

Dogs in Schools

We are proud to be one of the few organizations who provide highly trained dogs to work in schools. These dogs work with children of all ages with a variety of academic, social, and emotional needs. Our volunteers and trainers have extensive knowledge working in schools — we have several retired teachers on staff who help train the facility dogs in our Dogs In Schools program…

General Obedience

Canines for Change offers pet training classes for basic and advanced obedience, reactive dog training, behavior modification, therapy dog classes, and other fun classes! When you register for classes, your registration fee helps fund our canine heroes!
